Hi! My name is Charles Whalen

To whom it may concern:

I’m interested in a position where I can best be of service.  I am experienced in the field of substance abuse counseling and have included this information in the qualifying skills of my resume -

Qualifying Skills:
As an Alcohol and Drug Counselor/Chemical Dependency Counselor, I have worked with those deemed hard to serve; long term unemployed, drug abusers, felons, and the mentally ill. I have a positive perspective from my interactions that will benefit those with whom I will work. I am comfortable working with any population as a counselor, case manager, manager, and supervisor. I hold a New York State credential as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). I hold a Minnesota State credential as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor Reciprocal (ADCR-MN). I am an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC). My credentials are through the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC & RC).

I am a fast learner and will be a studious student during any and all trainings that I may receive.

I believe that there is no such thing as too much training.

I wish to be of service, to share the tools that I have been given through training, to help those who are trying to help themselves.

I want to be in a place where I can excel and grow as a substance abuse counselor as well as a member of the community I will become a part of.  If you are looking for just such an individual, you need look no further.

I look forward to joining your team and to help those who are seeking to help themselves.

With regards,

Charles Whalen
CASAC, ADCR-MN, and ICADC.
